This week, after completing his training during the summer, Joe Skerrett was presented with the Explorer Award.  The Explorer Award is the second of the four major awards available to a scout and signifies that a scout has achieved competence in every aspect of scouting.  The next step is the Star Scout Award where these skills are honed to expert level and then finally the National Scout Award where leadership skills are created and improved.
