Welcome to our section of the Forty Plus Cycling Club.  We ride in North Hertfordshire and our riders meet for a ride to for lunch on Thursdays.  Please see our rides list for more details.  We also ride on Tuesdays to meet one of the other sections for lunch.

We may be a small group but we have enjoyed our rides out during this very balmy Autumn so far.  Very little rain, nor wind, and blue skies that make it hard to believe Winter is around the corner.  Our “master plan” to increase our numbers is on the way but we may have to wait until the Spring before we can encourage newcomers to join us (if you have any enquiries from cyclists living towards our area and are already up in numbers – please feel free to recommend North Herts!).  In the meantime, we’d like to thank both St Albans groups and the Beds. group for making us feel welcome when we join them at the lunch venues.  The plus side of this is very sociable – we meet up with other people and it gives us a different variety of rides and the ability to go out on Tuesdays as well as Thursdays.  We tend to liaise over the weather forecasts and err on the side of caution if Tuesday looks good and Thursday a bit more “cyclist-unfriendly”.  On a good week we get out on both days!  That’s it – all set for Christmas now.
