Welcome to the web pages of the Mid Essex Tuesday section of the 40+ Cycling Club.

Our rides on Tuesdays are usually around the lanes of Essex.

Rides start at Writtle duck pond or Sandon church and head into all corners of Essex – sometimes dipping into Hertfordshire and Suffolk. Current participants are mostly from the Chelmsford/Billericay areas but we also have riders from Harlow and Sawbridgeworth who sometimes join us at elevenses and stay with us through lunch. We also join the North East Essex Section for lunch when their rides are East of Colchester. This always creates a most enjoyable social occasion for all concerned.

Group riding numbers vary considerably depending on weather and our destination. However, we rarely have less than six riders at the start and have had as many as 12/13 riders at lunch. We have a nucleus of eight fairly regular riders, plus another six or so occasional supporters. We hope these numbers will increase as more people know about us.
