DUCTILE GATE VALVES - 4L60E FULL MANUAL VALVE BODY.
Ductile Gate Valves
gate valves
- (Gate valve) A valve with a circular-shaped closing element that fits securely over an opening through which water flows. A valve that utilizes a disc moving at a right angle to the flow to regulate the rate of flow. When a gate valve is fully opened, there is no obstruction to the flow.
- (GATE VALVE) A two-way valve that may be opened or closed to block the flow of fluid in a passage. Normally manually operated, but may be automated, especially for larger sizes.
- A valve with a sliding part that controls the extent of the aperture
- (Gate valve) A gate valve, also known as a sluice valve, is a valve that opens by lifting a round or rectangular gate/wedge out of the path of the fluid.
ductile
- (of a metal) Able to be drawn out into a thin wire
- Able to be deformed without losing toughness; pliable, not brittle
- easily influenced
- capable of being shaped or bent or drawn out; "ductile copper"; "malleable metals such as gold"; "they soaked the leather to made it pliable"; "pliant molten glass"; "made of highly tensile steel alloy"
- (ductility) the malleability of something that can be drawn into threads or wires or hammered into thin sheets
- (of a person) Docile or gullible
Dauntless Ductile, London, UK
Thomas Dudley Ltd. made this metal plate seen on a London sidewalk. I'm not sure what "Dauntless Ductile" means, but it sounds damn cool. Almost as cool as the word "ironmonger".
Dauntless Ductile!
I just love the name! :-D Also, does this look like a maze to anyone else...?
