21/365 Bloody Wednesday Because I have a mechanical heart valve I take coumadin, a blood thinner. My blood needs to be thinned so it won't clot on my valve. So my blood can't be too thin and it can't be too thick. It has to be just right. To make sure it is just right I go to a coumadin clinic to be tested. This is me getting tested. My nurse, G, had just poked me and she was squeezing the blood out. Today my blood was too thick. Tonight I will up my coumadin dosage and go back in two weeks for another test. Wash, rinse, repeat. I will do this for the rest of my life. I don't mind it. It is not a hassle as it has become part of what I do. It is my normal. My Ocean style 80 FF Combi Boiler
Got this Boiler in 1993 and it lasted until 2010. Apparently production ceased in 1995.. I was told by British Gas Homecare there were no replacement parts. I now understand that the problem was with the diverter valve. British Gas then installed a Vaillant Boiler. I am confident things have improved, after all my new system has got pre-heat functions, so I am always assured a gush of hot water. Thats the bonus of condensing boilers after all. Modern boilers today are 90% energy efficient. Environmentalism and technology go hand in hand.
