3 WAY PLASTIC VALVE. FUEL LINE SHUT OFF VALVE 3 Way Plastic Valve
the brewt a pretty trick bit of kit we've been using at sola for tea... and experimenting with for coffee. I can definitively say, this is the best way to make tea I have thus far used. You place tea leaves in the unit, top up with water off the boil, then infuse for 2-3 minutes, depending on tea type. when it's ready, you place the unit on top your glass. the rim of the cup opens the valve, allowing infused tea to pass through. the essential part is, the force of the water passing through the leaves gets a much nicer extraction than just a standing infusion. it's also interactive, as we pass the unit to the customer with a tea timer and a bodum corona clear glass. since we're using loose leaf tea, and often blended with things like vanilla blossoms, the clear plastic shows of this aspect rather than obscuring it. the visual effect of the tea falling into the cup is elegant and photoworthy in its own right. as for coffee, I was initially not happy with the device. normally, I'm used to pushing the grind fairly fine, and the small surface area of the filter tends to clog. However, results yesterday while revisiting the brewt have made me rethink this conclusion. There's always something #2
I cut into the 1" pipe that supplies our rose garden and added a few Rube Goldberg parts to put in the new hose bibb / faucet / spigot / hydrant / silcock thingie. It even works and doesn't leak which is very unusual for my projects. I've made so many trips to Home Depot that they gave me a reserved parking space.
