This will prepare your child well for their upcoming years in school. At the beginning of the year, students will receive their Assignment Notebooks (ANB). These notebooks:

Spelling Practice should focus on both Weekly Spelling Words and Independent Spelling Words. Students can practice using any of the suggestions found over on our Spelling Page. On Thursday evening, students have the option of doing a Response to Text. This can look like any of the following:
**Please remember to sign and date the bottom so I know you have seen their Star Homework Slip for the week. Homework Disclaimer: Students should be able to do most assignments independently, but feel free to help if it is necessary. If you notice that your child is not able to do an assignment on his or her own, or struggles with a certain section, please jot a note to me on the assignment~ I do not want homework to cause stress! I will contact you if your child is falling behind or turning in poor work. Homework may also include work that was not finished in class that day. The schedule is subject to change, especially with short weeks, field trips, etc. Please let me know if you have any questions. |
