With support from Open Up, part of Time to Change, One in Four held a conference in London on February 1st 2010. Called 'Talking About Mental Health - Getting it Right' it brought together people with mental health difficulties, some of whom are professionals with professionals from the NHS and charities to discuss how we should talk about mental health. Click here to listen to a podcast from the event. If you are an organisation, you can find our rates for bulk subscription here. In large numbers, One in Four is cheap. | What is One in Four? How can I help and why? Subscribe now if you can to make sure that we can keep making the magazine. One in Four is produced by a small team, not the NHS or a big charity. We're doing a national magazine for people who really need it. In some places across the country organisations and NHS trusts buy copies from us to give to people who need them for free, but not enough. In the current climate, no one will start a project like One in Four again and get to the stage we have. Why do people need One in Four? People with mental health difficulties are often left out of the media. They are often talked about by commentators or talked for by spokespeople. One in Four is all about people with mental health difficulties speaking for ourselves. It's filled with advice, support, opinion and hope that life can be better. We are the magazine that inspires and supports people, showing that recovery is possible and that having a mental health difficulty doesn't mean that you should accept second best. Step 3: See an issue of One in Four and pass it on
