3 inch
- (3??-inch) Floppy is something of a misnomer for these disks, as they are encased in a rigid envelope. Despite their small size, microfloppies have a larger storage capacity than their cousins -- from 400K to 1.4MB of data. The most common sizes for PCs are 720K (double-density) and 1.
3-inch Ordnance Rifle
These pieces first arrived at Fort Churchill in October 1864. The 3-inch ordnance rifle was the most widely used rifled gun during the Civil War, although no Civil War action occurred here in Nevada. Invented by John Griffen, it was extremely durable, with the barrel made of wrought iron, primarily produced by the Phoenix Iron Company, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. There are few cases on record of the tube fracturing or bursting, a problem that plagued other rifles made of brittle cast iron. The rifle had exceptional accuracy. During the Battle of Atlanta, a Confederate gunner was quoted: "The Yankee three-inch rifle was a dead shot at any distance under a mile. They could hit the end of a flour barrel more often than miss, unless the gunner got rattled."
3 Inches of Blood - Undead
The poster I did for the Vancouver Metal band 3 Inches of Blood. The background was finished in a black and grey wash. Hopefully posters will be available for purchase soon!
