In 3rd grade, students are responsible for completing daily (Monday - Thursday) homework. Homework is given to practice skills and concepts learned in class. Students are given a Weekly Assignments Page to keep track of nightly assignments. Each night, students will have spelling practice: Monday: Sort, Alphabetize, and Write Tuesday: Rhyme Time Wednesday: Spelling Sentences Thursday: Study for Spelling Test Students are required to read for 30 minutes (or more) each night. Students complete a reading log to show what they read and how long they read. Once a week, students write about their reading using given prompts. Along with reading and spelling, students will also have another practice sheet to review concepts learned in math, social studies, science, or writing. On Friday's, students are expected to share their Weekly Reflection with families. Parents, please sign and return the Weekly Reflection so I know that you were able to talk with your student about what they learned and accomplished this week. **Homework is subject to change based on holidays or big projects at the teacher's discretion.
