A placemat is a protective table pad usually made of paper, plastic or cloth for restaurants and households. Asian-style placemats may feature thin slats of bamboo or colourful beads. The term is derived from the mat being put at a person's "place" (chair) at a table.

July 04, 1948. Mom loved wallpaper. She had at least six different patterns in the breakfast room between 1948 and 1979. People i have asked say that's a lot. One every five years. She tended to go for small, geometric, floral stuff in this room, and big bold botanical patterns in the interior. Didn't change them as often. Jack-in-the-pulpit, ginkgo. then she went to more solid colors, away from wallpaper, to like fabric, in those areas.

Well partner, do you like what you see? Would the bits of pink suit you? I love that print on the top, (and I'm not a fan of pink) I might use it for the back. Maybe. Maybe.
