The 3663 Finance team had their Christmas party at the big hotel in Oldham that nobody can ever remember the name of....but it USED to be the Perequito.
Much fun was had by all, despite the hotel insisting on treating us like schoolkids and serving 1 table at a time. Finally a revolt was staged, led by Colin Jones, Phil Adshead and Geoff Brown the buffet table was stormed with all waitresses mowed down in the onslaught. Much damage being done by Philips stinging sarcasm, Colins sardonic wit and the fact that Geoff could stop a charging rhino with his head. The waitresses finally gave in and allowed the adults to sort it out for themselves.
Mr Cheesy Disco followed with such modern day hits as "Build me up Buttercup" by the Foundations leading the way and a refusal by Mr Cheesy Disco to play ANYTHING by the Stone Roses...the man obviously deserved a pie in the face.
After clearing the dance floor (by using Geoff to barge all the secretarys out of the way) the entire 3663 finance team took to the floor to lead a rousing chorus of "We Wish it could be Christmas Everyday" and "Feed the World". The waitresses obviously saw "Feed the World" as a prelude to another attack on the buffet and quickly cleared everything away.
Colin Jones was persuaded to open his wallet, and, amidst the fleeing spiders, and flaking of rust, agreed to finance a round of drinks for the team. After ordering, delivering, and consuming the drinks it was discovered that, Financial Director Colin, had failed to bring any money with him in order to purchase said drinks, so it became necessary for the "3663 Double Shift" to come into operation where, even though Colin had BOUGHT the drinks the actually money was added to Graham Whitwams bill....much to his amusement!
After partying for several long hours suddenly it was all over, people were drifting off, going to clubs, heading home etc and revenge was being planned by those in work the next day. Anonymous!
