It has a 2.25 horsepower motor which is enough power to keep up with a 240lb man. It will propel you into overdrive if you crank up the juice to maximum and the calories will start pouring off. I found the tread mill to be very sturdy and rugged not shaking uncontrollably as the weight hit it. The noise factor is pretty low considering the price unlike other similar tread mills that erk you with a roaring sound or squeaking. It has a few adjustable setting which allows the user to customize the functions to their standards. I like the dark maple finish also which matches the interior of my house. Its very stylish and very compact, easily slid into a corner and folded down. I think it is a very decent treadmill for the amount of money it cost. The quality is a little above average and the powerful motor will last for many years if not exceeding 300lbs.
