July 24 Today Sam had off and we went out to take pictures. On the way there we decided to stop at the community college so he could find out what he needed to claim Florida Residency. The rules are ridiculous, so even though we've lived here almost three years, he probably won't qualify. Then we went to this new park that's right by where we used to live. It has the most amazing playground equipment I've ever encountered. But the whole playground area is covered in Astroturf instead of grass! I took pictures, Sam blew bubbles, and we played on the playground. Then we walked the "Life Path" and looked at all the ridiculously wimpy exercise equipment they had along it. Even the people in the pictures showing you what to do looked like the biggest pussies. Then we picked up my photographs and looked through them while we drank mimosas at Dandelion. On the way home we were both feeling pretty down because Orlando is such a shitty town with nothing to do, when I spied a rainbow in the sky. So we spent the rest of our ride home yelling out the windows, informing everyone who would listen that there was a rainbow in the sky. Most people didn't seem to care at all. But one guy told us "God loves you".....? I will just pretend the rest of the day didn't happen.
