Visiting Dr. V. Ganapati Sthapati's stoneyard in Mamallapuram south of Chennai. These are traditional stone carving chisels used by shilpis and sthapatis throughout the centuries. Each one is hand fired and sharpened by hand after it gets dull. Each specific chisel has a unique use.
