How To Remove Cpu Cooler : Haier 6 Bottle Wine Cooler How To Remove Cpu Cooler
05 new back plate Parts from Scythe Mugen 2 CPU cooler. If you use a different cooler the parts will of course be different. The instructions that came with this cooler were so cryptic and minuscule that it took me at least an hour to figure out how to proceed. Maybe this will help! The backing plate (1) is shown with the metal side visible. This side faces down, away from the motherboard. The other side is padded with an insulating material and must face against the circuit-board. The four small screws (2) are used to attach the CPU cooler mounting brackets (not shown). The four longer screws (3) attach through the outside holes on the plate to the CPU cooler. The four thicker shorter screws (4) attach through the inside holes on the plate to the CPU socket cover we just removed. Each uses a plastic washer (5) and metal washer (6). Tool also visible. Stupid Sony Vaio
To get to the fan you have, you really have to remove the heatsink. Then you expose the CPU. Then you remember you don't have thermal paste. Then you have to go buy it. I got this fixed for HKD 50 (35 for the paste, about 15 for the MTR), I wonder how much Sony would charge me. Not cool, Sony. Not cool.
