Project Description:

How can technology connect drama to our lives?

The goal of this project is for students gain a meaningful understanding of how technology can connect drama to our lives in the 21st Century. To effectively show this connection, students will draft and record a play relevant to their own lives. Through the production of this play, students will learn to answer:
  1. What is the history and legacy of drama?
  2. What words, concepts, and works are important to writing drama?
  3. How do we script a play?
  4. What modern tools and technologies can be used to present theater?
  5. How can technology help us share our theater work?
Upon the conclusion of this unit, students will understand the purpose, workings, and relevance of theater.  They will also understand how technology can keep theater important to their lives in the 21st Century.
