BRASS PLUG VALVE - FIND WATER SHUT OFF VALVE - NIBCO ANGLE VALVE Brass Plug Valve
Old Maestrovox Valves To get this synth running much work was needed. Below is a rundown on the repairs: (hopefully it will help other restorers in the future). 1 Source and replace all Valves: RAYTHEON 6SN7GT DUAL TRIODE VACUUM TUBE x 2 SYLVANIA 6V6GT/G BEAM POWER PENTODE VACUUM TUBE x 1 RCA 5Z4 FULL WAVE RECTIFIER VACUUM TUBE x 1 KEN RAD 6J5GT/G TRIODE VACUUM TUBE x 1 2 Source and replace all capacitors except main power supply filter - this was still fine - these are all 600 volt and hard to obtain the original values. Especially critical are the ones for tuning the Octave selector 3 Replace all resistors except the main high tension and the Keyboard array - some resistors in the array did need replacing as they were causing mistuning. 4 Remove key assembly and clean and straighten all wafer switches, brass dip used: Leuchtterm Brass Dip, then Caig Deoxit Red and Deoxit Gold 5 Remove short circuits from key switch assembly 6 Repair bent key spring wafers and realign all keys to be straight horizontally and spaced correctly. 7 Clean and repair all slider switches (tone switches) - some were shorting out and likely to blow valves! 8 Replace perished wiring 9 Repair vibrato section - faulty vibrato rate pot needed dismantling and cleaning 10 Repair Octal Plug used to connect Amp/Power Supply to Keyboard 11 Replace perished insulation sleeving with heatshrink in some dangerous areas! 12 Repair tears to top cabinet covering 13 Tune octaves, tune upper/lower key register 14 Repair vibrato section - faulty vibrato rate pot needed dismantling and cleaning 15 Replace missing cabinet screws - managed to find identical black brass ones 16 Reglue rubber piano pads 17 Clean case and all keys - remove stains from white keys 18-19 Receive electric shocks (2) good fun! Cheers to my techo Keith for risking life & limb for music. Henrad Compact Radiator
Henrad offers a Slim, Unobtrusive Appearance that Will Blend With Any Dcor. Applications Henrad radiators are suitable for two pipe installations. For single pipe applications, it is advisable to use diversion tees in the pipework, as this will assist in obtaining design performance from the radiators. Although Henrad radiators are suitable for Microbore pipework, the back tappings make it unsuitable for twin entry valves. Testing and Operating Pressure All models are high pressure tested to withstand 10.5 Bar (152.3 psi), to perform at a maximum working pressure of 8 bar (116 psi) at a maximum temperature of 95C. Connections Each Henrad radiator has 4 x 1/2 inch connections as standard. There is also a 3/4 inch valve adaptor available, which provides a 3/4 inch connector option to the valve without reducing performance.. Installation Everything required for installation can be found within the robust packaging. Brackets are of a strong design, with open top and deep slots, which facilitate easy and secure installation. Plastic inserts seat the radiator precisely on the bracket minimizing expansion and contraction noise. The neat nickel-plated plug and vent provide a watertight joint, whilst complementing the superior finish. To facilitate easy one off replacement nickel-plated brass extension pieces are also available, complete with sealing washer, in 20mm, 30mm and 40mm options.
