    check valve
  • A check valve, clack valve, non-return valve or one-way valve is a mechanical device, a valve, which normally allows fluid (liquid or gas) to flow through it in only one direction.
  • A valve that closes to prevent backward flow of liquid
  • A mechanical device in a pipe that permits the flow of water or air in one direction only.
  • Limits the flow of gas to one direction only. Use a check valve between the bubbler and generator to prevent unwanted pressure build up in the generator, and a safety against a low level bubbler. A check valve, such as used on torches, is recommended.
    tank
  • The container holding the fuel supply in a motor vehicle
  • A receptacle with transparent sides in which to keep fish; an aquarium
  • A large receptacle or storage chamber, esp. for liquid or gas
  • an enclosed armored military vehicle; has a cannon and moves on caterpillar treads
  • a large (usually metallic) vessel for holding gases or liquids
  • store in a tank by causing (something) to flow into it

Gear Whore. Ready to travel.
Gear Whore. Ready to travel.
I don't show a light stand, or my other flash hot shoe stand... I might fab up a clamp instead... but we'll see..... This is the Kit I plan to pack to Cancun when we leave this Saturday. I plan on putting carry-on stuff in the lowepro in case someone tries to get me to check my gear... if that happens I will swap out my gear with whatever ends up in the other bag... and put it in my case... In theorie I could check the pelican case, but I have no intentions of letting some baggage handler throw my gear up into the plane with no idea or care of what is in the case. Especially considering I have had cologne stolen out of checked bags in years past. If you are interested in a pelican, I would suggest this one, or even better the Pelican Studiocruzer 1510 which has a cutout in the lid for your macbook.

A broadsides view of LMS Fairburn 2-6-4T 42085 testing its safety valves at Leicester North station. The driver and owner's rep are checking for hot bearings after its first trip to Leicester - everything was fine - and the fireman had "gone under" to hook up to the train. The guard is keeping an eye on the process on the far side so we have the complete train crew in shot. The fireman has obviously got a big fire in and while he has been busy with the connections the pressure has slipped round and lifted both safety valves. Easily done when the engine is as free-steaming as this one. He will put the injector on when he's done and any case the climb north out of the station will soon use up the extra steam and then, except for the short pull out of Rothley, it's downhill to Loughborough.
