Purchased new in 1953 by Mr A T Neesham, a market gardner from Hereford, who did a round trip of four miles a day. His longets journey ever being from hereford to Worcester (A round trip of just over 50 miles !). in 1964 Mr Neesham gave up his business due to ill health, after which the van was used only occasionally until 1970 when it was put in his garage. It remained there for approximately 14 years, untul it was purchased by Mr A Cross (A Jowett enthusiast) in 1984 with only 11,000 miles on the clock. The van is in totally original condition with the exception of a respray into the museums house colours, and it is now used for publicity and special events.

Saw this Yamaha RD400C being registered at the DVLA in Worcester. The new keeper told me he had built it up from parts from the original owner who had lost the log book. It got an original number plate, a P-reg, making it a late 1975 or early 1976 model.
