Mafeking is the Cotswold Edge District Scout HQ. The 2nd Frampton Cotterell Group use it periodically as a venue where we can light fires, practice campfire cooking, camp overnight in local location, and we have also used the pond for pond dipping.

 

 

Directions to Mafeking: Beesmoor Road / Badminton Road traffic lights, turn into Roundways (opp. Direction to Beesmoor Rd) towards the Ring O'Bells, then turn right at that pub into Henfield Road. Under the viaduct, 2^nd turning on the left into Serridge Lane (Caution! This is a single track lane and at night it is dark due to the absence of street lighting), past Coalpit Heath Cricket Club, then first turning on the right into an unmade lane. Mafeking Hall is the first building about 100 metres down here on the right.
