You should be able to discern all 26 steps here. If you can't, you'll be missing out on subtle visual information in the shadows or highlights of that video, movie or favourite image of your lover!

One can also use Calum Matheson's Brilliant Colourificator (PC only) to check these codes ... AND any colour on your desktop. It's brilliant!

To run it though, you'll need Visual Basic 6 runtime files on your system ... Ask Bill Gates nicely for his vbrun60sp6.exe ...

3./ You can also check your Display using Nokia's Monitor Brightness Test! This is especially good for showing the very fine detail in the black end of the Gray scale ...  Brightness Test Field.
