We finally made the road. Now only a 6km nighttime jog (in wetsuits, with packs full of climbing gear, soaked to the bone and tired) back along the road to the carpark. About 6 cars passed us on the way back - nobody stopped to give us a lift. Thinking about it now, I don't think I would have stopped to pick up two guys covered in mud from the waist down, at night in the middle of nowhere.
