[20:13] Stephan Frontenac nearly trips over his own feet at Marina's words, realising the dishwasher had remained with their sold furniture in Midian city. He lets out a sigh, his smile a little weaker then a few minutes earlier and starts scooping out portions of the meaty stew in plates. The stew is thick enough that it does not run off the plate despite a generous helping. On top of the concoction that now appears to have small ognions, carrots, patatoes and chuncks of beef, he pours the thick cream, patatoe and garlic based sauce. It stands on top almost as if it was whipped cream on a desert. He tries not to think about which vegetable are real and which artificial as he arranges the plates. [20:15] beth Latynina grins as she reaches for the bread with nos of blonde head whispering," yes we should" as it is just to tempting to pass up even as she smeels the food that Stephan is dishing up, breaking off an chunk [20:17] Marina Storaro breaks off a chunk too and steals a look at Serafina who seems so immersed in her book. Or perhaps is just, or also, avoiding reality for a while whie she adjusts. She lets out breath and sits back, tearing off a piece to put in her mouth and chewing the heated bread with a crunch. [20:19] Serafina Fall eyed the bread and shuffled in her chair, determined not to be obvious about wanting the food. She just stared at the book while the adults talked or didn't, and would half-listen, but not really. [20:20] Stephan Frontenac walks back to the table carrying two plates, and lays them before Marina and Beth. He says with no small amount of pride, still exagerating his french accent "Mesdames, please enjoy boeuf bourguignon au vin with a sauce ah l'ail et pomme de terre. It's a traditional expensive Quebecois dish that was made of the finest cuts of beef, rich sweet vegetable and wine. The sauce is garlic and patatoe based and is best served with red wine which will be coming up." He looks up to Serafina "Are you sure you're not hungry? this still should taste delicious after going through the blender." He smiles as if saying he knows this from experience. [20:23] Marina Storaro holds the bread over her sideplate watching the full, steaming platter of beef and vegetables slide before her. The cream was rich and dripping over the textures of food, and she grinned at Stephan's pronouncement. "This smells absolutely delicious." She would pick up her fork and glance to Serafina, knowing she'd have to speak for her if she needed. [20:24] Serafina Fall closed the book and looked up to Stephan. She shrugged a bit, but it was with a nod and half-smile as if offering to yes, okay, I'll try that. She looked back at her mom and hesitated, tapping her mouth. [20:24] Marina Storaro interpreted and looked back to Stephan picking up her fork. "Needs a straw." [20:26] Stephan Frontenac thinks about the straw a moment and nods "I think we have some glass ones in the liquor cabinet, I'll find them" He then returns to the kitchen and serves a portion of the stew into the blender. Turning it on and making alot of noise, he goes into the living room to rumage around for the straws. [20:27] Marina Storaro reached over to give her a squeeze on the arm and eyed the pile of steaming food waiting for Stephan to return. She was planning her first bite. [20:29] Stephan Frontenac comes back holding the straw and smiles as he sees the blender turned the stew into a thick soup. The wine marinated beef melted and broke up easily in the blender. He pours a coffee mug full and carries it to the table, placing it before Fina. He says with a slight bow "Enjoy", before rushing back to the kitchen, as he is now really hungry. [20:29] beth Latynina leans forward as she just smells the plate of food almos t aroused by the aroma's wondering if she can get him to cook like this every night, trying not to drool as she waits for Stephan to come and join us as not to be rude [20:30] Serafina Fall perks up for the first time all evening seeming something like her old self. Her fingers curl around the cup and slide it to the edge and she dips down her mouth to suck at the straw. *SCHLURRRRRP* [20:30] Marina Storaro swings her an admonishing look at starting before them. "SERAFINA!" she barks. [20:31] Stephan Frontenac finally grabs his plate, which is served a little less carringly then the girls plates, four wine glasses and held under his elbow a bottle of red wine. He lays everything on the table and before sitting he asks "Does anyone want anything else before I sit down?" [20:32] Serafina Fall startles and gives her mom one of those eyes-widening apologies that would go along with a groaning 'Soooooorry Mom' if she could talk. Her mouth worked funny as she swallowed what she did get, and her tongue pushed at stitches. [20:32] beth Latynina smiles," no love" as tries not to giggle at the look Serifina giv

REDEAUX: better colors on this one, i think. VANILLA RUGBY: you know how when you listen to some appliances it seems like they're saying something? mostly, i find this happens with dishwashers, windshield wipers, and yup, dryers. this one said "vanilla rugby" loud and clear. maybe you had to be there... went to the laundromat for the first time ever today. it rocked! i took a bunch of pictures and actually read a bunch of homework. the sound of the machines makes for the perfect background noise when studying research methods in geography.
