Steve Bolognese began drumming at the age of 13 with a pair of sticks, 2 pillow cushions and a modern drummer magazine. He quickly began studying with local teachers in Boston MA. Among those were Berklee College of Music Proffessors Mike Mangini, Kim Plainfield etc.. Steve played in a handful of bands in the Boston area before finding himself touring with Beyond the Embrace (Metal Blade). In 2005, Steve left Beyond the Embrace to join Canadian progressive metal band Into Eternity (Century Media). In 2008 he recorded "The Incurable Tragedy", his debut album with the band. Into Eternity has toured with many bands including Megadeth, Dream Theater, Lamb of God, Opeth, Arch Enemy, Dillinger Escape Plan, Symphony X, and much more. Although known for his work in the metal community, Steve has also studied and teaches many styles of music including jazz, funk, latin etc... When not touring the world with Into Eternity, Steve teaches privately in Boston, Ma. He has also appeared as a guest instructor at the Berklee's World Percussion Festival from 2007-2009.
