PARIS MON AMORE -JOSEPH SPIESS ' GRAVE
PARIS MON AMORE -JOSEPH SPIESS ' GRAVE
It is my last day in PARIS so I will walk along the CANAL ST MARTIN one of my favorite place in PARIS: It is wonderful walking along the cobblestone sidewalks along the CANAL where many people are sitting on the sides: yesterday, I saw a barge go through the canal locks, and even after so many years, I still enjoy watching the locks open and the boat pass through: Of course i will pick up some bread to bring back home. Yes, it is one of my favorite souvieners of PARIS. I will have some bread for dinner with some great smelly French cheese and a side of salad; The main corse will be a bottle of red wine:::hahaha One sunday I strolled through the love PARC MONTSOURIS which is on the other end of Paris from where I live: It is in the lovely and chic 14th neighborhood. WOW its tres chic but not in the LOUIS VUTTON sense but in the regular Paraisians enjoying their life. There was a woman playing some hand grinder, who allowed me to film her. It was really sweet and the kids came up to her and gave her loose change. The day in the PARC MONTSOURIS was like walking into the GEORGES SERRAT painting SUNDAY IN THE PARK:::: Monday eveing was a joy when I went by a small cafe filled with people who were singing and having an absolute wonderful time. I included a video of them for you to experience a truely PARIS event. Everyone was demonstartive in their happiness and there were glasses of wine and beer in everyone;s hand all the while everyone was having a fabulous time. No I didnt join in, for even though there were ;cheat sheets; with the words of all the songs, my voice sounds like a cat in heat which I truely do not think they would of welcomed in the charming chorus. A walk through PERE LACHAISE always is on my last days in PARIS agenda, so I took the bus to the cementary to pay repects to VICTOR NOIR, ALICE B TOKLIS, GERTRUDE STEIN, and of course, OSCAR WILDE. Its always fun to see the tourists try to find his tomb, and of course someone stopped right in front of it, turned to me , and asked, WHERE IS OSCAR WILDE.S TOMB? "Well, that's an easy one", I responded, "It's right in front of you!" Autumn is approaching so the leaves are starting to fall in the cementary; So the cobblestone walkways and the green grass are covered with brown leaves: There is nothing like the crunching sound of the dead leaves under ones feet and the echoing of ones footsteps on the cobblestones: A very lovely quite day in one of PARIS' quite sections of town! It has been a nice two weeks in PARIS with lots of opportunities to photograph some of the street art, go to various museums, enjoy lovely walks along the canal and the streets of PARIS: Then there is the wonderful bread, cheese, and wine::::It is really PARIS when one bites into a fresh crunchy bagette which has been latered with thick gooey , abit stinky, French cheese, and then take a sip of inexpensive, but delicious red wine::::: yes, PARIS is lovely throughout the year. Even more so as the creeping of autumn approaches and the soft chill starts to fill the air and the leaves start to fall to the cobblestones along the canal:::: I will miss PARIS, but time for some more adventures in SAN FRANCISCO////
