A Gun, A Beer, and A Camera
This is Festus (our guide) and me having a sundowner drink. Festus took us for a late afternoon walk through the Ongava Game Reserve. As sunset approached, we were surprised to see a Land Rover sitting by itself out in the middle of nowhere complete with a cooler full of drinks and a plate full of biltong (like beef jerky) & other snacks. 20091108-PB080040

The Salt Lick is located in a dry county which means beer can not be sold within its borders. However, it's perfectly legal to go elsewhere and bring the beer in which is exactly what people choose to do. Spaten goes particularly well with barbequed meats.
