21 Bottle Wine Cooler - Cooper Cooler Wine Chiller 21 Bottle Wine Cooler
Whiskey A-Go-Go When I was 15 years old back in the Philippines where alcohol laws were virtually non-existent and a father can send his 6 year-old child to buy a bottle of gin at the corner store, I drank. I drank as many and as fast as I can to: 1. fit in/be "cool" (because my self-esteem was so low), 2. stick it up to the man and 3. of course, get drunk. I stopped drinking when I was 21 (a legal irony) for reason number 2. It was a time in my life when I had a meth-induced epiphany of rebelling against capitalists for selling me shit that I don't need. I called them bad capitalists for advertising the way they did. Ads for alcohol and cigarettes in the Philippines were all about machismo and all that bullshit. Now, I'm 32. I started drinking again. Red wine. I guess, for health. Because I read about resveratrol. Then I read somewhere that studies say that the health benefits of 1 drink of wine is equal to the health benefits of 1 bottle of beer. So I started buying porters, stouts and hefeweizen. Then absinthe and vodka. Now my latest favorite is scotch. On the rocks. Fucking capitalists. 41/365
7-21-09 I bought a case of this stuff last time I visited the New Belgium Brewery in Fort Collins, CO. If you've never been to a brewery, or this one in particular, GO!!!! Very cool place and fantastic beer. A little on the brew: This beer is brewed in a traditional fashion, then placed in huge wine casks for aging (around 2 years I believe, but don't hold me to it). The result is what the brewery calls a Traditional Belgium Sour Brown Ale. It's slightly carbonated due to the cask conditioning. Also, very sour. Of the 8 or so people I've let try it, only one other person likes it :o) Related topics: ice chest cooler gott water cooler tailgate coolers igloo 94 quart marine cooler stainless cooler cart make ice chest radio igloo 5 gallon beverage cooler |
