The Blacktop Bragging Rights Game is this Friday.  Again this year, each school is being asked to raise money for the 22 different organizations that provide support to the communities of Athens, Petersburg and Greenview.  Students are encouraged to participate in the fundraising activities for the week:

Tuesday – Hat Day  - $1 – pay in the foyer in the morning

Tuesday through Thursday -  Study Hall Challenge.  The Study Halls in both A and B that raise the most money PER student will be rewarded with a cook-out next week.

Wednesday – We will have a Morning Cookie Break. Cookie break is a tradition that many of you may not remember.  We will have Cookie break from 950-1005am. Any student wishing to pay 1$ may go to cookie break and purchase cookies and drinks and relax for 15 minutes.

Thursday and Friday – Lunch at the Movies – Mrs. Swaney has volunteered to show a movie in Library. Any students willing to pay 3$ will be allowed to take their lunch to the library over 5a and 5b study halls and watch TWILIGHT. You must sign-up because seating is limited.

We hope that each of you will participate in at least one of these activities. Remember the money raised works in your community.

HOMECOMING WEEK, GAME, AND DANCE - GREAT SUCCESSES.

Homecoming week was filled with great spirit and 85% participation in all of the theme-days.  Ms. Blank believes that we may have set an attendance record at the dance.  In addition to the many students from our HS, 41 students from other schools attended the dance as dates or friends.  The FB team made it exciting - but pulled out a HC victory.

Did you get your informational letter regarding H1N1 and a variety of other school notes?  The letters were mailed on Monday.
