All cars in the student parking must have a parking tag. Any student who does not have a tag will have until Friday October 2nd to purchase one. We will take seniors to Lincoln Land Community College, University of Illinois Springfield, and Midwest Technical Institute. Seniors will be given a full tour of the programs offered at the facility of their choice. The Buses will leave around 845am for these three locations. The Cross-country team brought home the Sprit Trophy from the El Paso-Gridley Invitational last night with an assist from the JH team. The NHS will be sponsoring a blood drive on 09/09/09. See Mrs. Swaney for an appointment and a permission slip. Any senior who donates or volunteers is eligible for a scholarship that will be awarded to an Athens High School student. If you are at least 16 you may donate. The more we collect the more money will be available for the scholarship. T-shirts will also be handed out as well as other thank you gifts for those who donate. Help us reach our goal of 30 units of blood. Your blood could save a life! The following girls MUST see Ms. Bice before the end of the day: Chloe Dixon, Veda Dixon, Cassie Talbot, Jamy Pusch, Katie Becker, Hillary Duncheon, and Kenzie Jones. All yearbook officers, editors, layout editors, photo editor, and business manager need to meet in Mrs. Emery’s room during lunch today. This Friday the Football Cheerleaders will be selling Homemade Cupcakes for $1 during lunch.

The golf team won its first match of the season last night against Farmington. Some top scores were Julia Browning 45, Andrew Hall 46 and Drake Cushman 54. The JV team also won both of their matches. The TMD officers from last year will meet in Mrs. Emery’s room today during lunch.
