01. Pick me - Pick me

Let me not beat around the bush, let me be very clear. I would like to be your real estate agent. Pick me - Pick me I talk to a lot of people about real estate and a lot of people really don't understand how the whole thing works. It is to your advantage to find a good agent right from the start. I suggest me. When you do, I go to work for you. I am not a salesman, I am your agent. I don't tell you what to do. Like a movie star or athlete has an agent. I advise you, I negotiate on your behalf. I will coach and advise you through the whole very complex process of buying a house. I am your advocate. I am there to answer the many questions you will have. I am the one that will help you find the house of your dreams. I am the one that has the computer knowledge to help you know how to use the Internet in the process. That is, if you like using the computer, many people really don't. I will hand you paper versions if that's what you want. I am the one that helps you to understand what can be the very confusing documents and paper work. I create the legal paperwork. I am the one that helps you to see what your options are in the myriad of choices you need to make along the way. I negotiate the sale or purchase. This day and age you have to have an agent to buy or sell a home. (if you don't understand how Real Estate agents get paid you will want to read my post on the left side bar so you understand) Might as well Pick me - Pick right away.

 

Why Pick me - Pick me personally? I think some of the key reasons you should Pick me - Pick me. One of my basic philosophies is that If am not honest I am not anything. It really doesn't have anything to do with being a Real Estate agent it is just who I am. This industry like all professions have all types in it, there are lots of hard working honest people, there are the less scrupulous. This industry especially, make sure your agent is on your side, not their own.  

Another thing is my years and years of working in historical building restoration. I retired from that industry before I became an agent. You can ask me about it if you want me to elaborate, but the point is I am the perfect person to have by your side when you a looking at a home. Like having a automotive professional with you when you buy a car.

I am not a salesman. I am not the slick, fast talking pushy type. I will give you your space, it is your decision in the end. I will coach you to the best of my ability, but it is up to you. When I take you to a home I am not going to walk you through all the rooms and say "this is the kitchen"...   you know what the kitchen is, you don't need me to do that. I am going to let you and your loved ones talk and discover and think about it together, it has a lot to do with personality and feel. I am going to be looking for things you might not notice, red flags, problems you need to be aware of. I am there to help you not sell you. If you have any questions please do ask.


If I may have the honor of being your Real Estate agent please say so clearly. "We want you to be our real estate agent" That way I know how to respond to you. There are a lot of people who dabble around, and that's fine, but you can't really take them seriously and help them the way you want to. If you say you want me to be your agent, that doesn't commit you to buy or sell a house, if it doesn't work out in the end for what ever reason, that's fine it isn't unusual that it turns out that way. Maybe you are on a fast track, great let me help you, or maybe your are on a long track, Thats fine I will be here next year too. We can still have that agent relationship right from the start, you don't have to be ready to buy.

Lastly if we get into it and you, or I feel like the personalities just don't fit right. That's OK I would rather have it end it gracefully than trying to force something that just doesn't work.
