I understand both sides of this. I have been a Scaredy Cat lots of times actually. My wife has too. She told me whenever she used to go to open houses before I was a Real Estate agent they would ask her to sign in and she would always accidentally mix her phone number up. Smile She didn't want some pushy salesman calling her up and bugging her. I was always the same way. If I was somewhere where the salesmen swoop in on you with that phony smile and tell you how cute my kids where I always made it clear - no thanks. That is a learned behavior, we have all had the experience where some salesman was sucking up to us just to get our business. I am a Scaredy Cat, I don't trust them and I don't want anything to do with them.
Now I know me, I am not like that. I was doing what they call working the floor the other day in the office. What that means is if they have any body walk in or call in they are directed to me to take care of. Hopefully get a new contact. Well I was in the middle of some project on the computer and a call came in from a woman wanted to know how much we where asking for such and such property. I wasn't familiar with the property so I was going to have to close up the stuff on my computer and then launch the software that has all the properties listed and I knew it would take a couple minutes. I asked here if I could get her number and I would call back in 5 minutes, promise. She was agitated and said well can't you just tell me, I started to explain then she just said fine and gave me her number. So I shut down what I was doing launched the other screen and with some trouble finally got the information together and tried calling her back.... she had given me a bogus number. I just smiled. Scaredy Cat. I understand. Listen not everyone out there is some slick salesman, that is going to hassle and push you. If you say no thank you, I am easy, I go away. Don't be afraid to, call, email me, or respond to my web site. If you want me to go away just say no thank you.
