Deere Fixie

So this old beater Mountain Bike has ben staring at me for like 6 months everytime I'm down in Peoria, I plan on tearing it down and SS/FG'ing it for the winter. Well Yesterday I finally tore it down (with limited tools). A bolt cutter helped me alot. So I'm moving down to Peoria for a year to finish up High School (I''ll be in Chicago on some weekends), and decided what the hell, this will be a fun little project. So I stripped this bike to the frame, peeled off all of the old decals, sanded it down, primed it and painted it in Rustoleum John Deere Colors. I choose John Deere colors because I'm gearing it super low for the winter (like a tractor). So I'll bring the back wheel back to Chicago, have it relaced with a flip flop hub, and beat it around on fire roads in Michigan 'til Winter comes around. I was really satisfied at the paint's finish (especially the green.) Its a tiny frame, but that leaves plenty of crotch room for busting my ass on the ice.

August 6, 2009. i painted these last friday and they STILL look fabulous out here in da hood in my cheapo Payless flip flops. lol. i've got rhinestones on my toes and silver crown decals. the nail polish used here is Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear "Fuchsia Power". my toe nails feel like a million! people can't believe i did this myself... but then again, all you have 2 do is look at my artwork to understand.
