Celebrating Official kilt day. (remembering my Scottish roots) Cotton T - Fruit of the Loom, Kilt, Modern Douglas, It's a pity that the kilt has been 'genderised' so much. The kilt and it''s variations are worn by men in many societies and in fact in warmer climates is much more comfortable than trousers or shorts. As to the wearing of ballerina flats, in earlier times these simple shoes were often worn by both sexes. I find them more comfortable that the now common flip flops which are actually bad for feet. I also wear them for my tai chi classes where they are more practical than the traditional 'kung fu' cotton slippers.
