Day 21 (January 21, 2011) - Shooting this I started thinking about people and how we are cut from such different materials. Some people try to surround themselves with others who have the same likes and dislikes, the same belief systems, the same ideals. I try to do the opposite. I enjoy being with people who think differently than me and challenge my own ideals and views of the world and the people and things in it. Can you imagine how boring to be surrounded my replicas of ourselves? I suppose it is comforting for some to have a perfectly organized set of criteria that one must fit into to be a part of their life. I know a few people like that and we have either gone separate ways because they couldn't take the fact that I differ in my opinions, or they are still around and still trying. I like that, they think I'm not beyond help in their minds. That's rather fun. I'm glad we are not all cut with the same cutter from the same material. Stay unique everyone! The world is a better place for it.
