So last post I showed a WIP of a sonic screwdriver of my design and now i show you a new pic of the piece as a more finished unit. Fresh from being anodized this sonic only needs the new emitter crystal and internal spring. It's a modern interpretation of the classic sonic screwdriver and features a working slider/activator as well as a settings dial in the bottom WITH hash marks and divot to lign them up to. That's right unlike the 9th/10th Doctors sonics THIS one you don't need to pretend to twist anything to "change the settings" XD The bottom end is also designed to double as a jack to be plugged into the Tardis console. The whole project started in my head over a year ago when the rumor that the original classic sonic might have been a chiropractic activator. Upon looking at one many in the prop community abandoned that concept but I thought a sleeker more intricate classic styled sonic would be neat and toyed with the idea of getting an activator to try it with but that was not going to work and decided to design it from scratch. After spending some time on it and taking a couple aesthetic elements from a Lego sonic someone had made I drew up the plans and had them blueprinted and a CGI render was created. After looking for a machinist to build it I located one and now here it is! A literal one-of-a-kind sonic screwdriver!

Built in the 70s, this Toys "R" Us is still here...Kids "R" Us joined over here in the early 2000s, making the Kids "R" Us across the parking lot Babies "R" Us...The store looks dated on the inside....it has current signage but needs a top to bottom side to side remodel...including new tile...it has that 80s yellowish white tile that annoys me lol. But it looks pretty decent on the front...and it used to have the old ugly looking logo with a brown front...thank GOD they redid it...they redid it within the past couple years I know that...
