Blessed in Silver & Turquoise
This is an amazing necklace, aka May we all be Blessed in Silver & Turquoise The vintage Mexican sterling silver cross, which ironically has a Celtic look and feel to it, dangles on a hand linked sterling silver chain with thirty-four Kingman Arizona turquoise beads. The cross is balanced on each side of the large sterling silver bale by two sterling saucer beads. The closure is a good size sterling silver swivel lobster clasp, weighty and good looking. Never to worry which way to close this strand, easily slips over the head. I would love to think you would utilize this superior and tested element of mechanics of this necklace. It is a pleasure to use. It is guaranteed never to fail and I am confidant you will find the clasp quite remarkable. The necklace measures on its’ own 24 1/2” and will adjust down to 22 1/2” with a lovely drop of chain at the back of the neck, finished with a drop, a small chunky piece of turquoise, a sexy look from the back, stirring interest in the piece you are wearing. The 2 1/2” x 2 1/2” crosses brings the length of the necklace at its’ shortest to 24 3/4”. The hallmark stamp reads 925 Mexico. The top line is unreadable, worn away. All I can garner here is symbol which is not clear and numbers that partially read 1/6, should that mean anything to you. This is unfortunate, as I am curious as to where the cross is from and who the maker might be. Based on the style I am guessing here, is ’70’s. Dress it up, dress it down, wear it at will, it’s a conversation starter, a dazzler. Yes, the cross is a globally accepted symbol of Christianity, this cross speaks to me in a way that says a blessing to the bearer, and to others it whispers compassion spoken here. I have included the picture of this necklace on my meditation statue, because this photo ended up on my business card, I loved the picture so much. Everyone receives a business card when making a purchase, so if you do so you will see your necklace in living color on my card. Available at my Etsy Store: justayayadesign. See you there. ox
