Made at the January 08 meeting of the Central Oklahoma Polymer Clay Guild, led by Jane Linn. We covered frames (mine was metal; others used wood & paper mache) with black clay, then textured & stamped it before baking. (I used the Flourishes by Rhonna Farrer / Autumn Leaves stamps set + some wire brush texturing.) After baking we applied Silver Leaf Rub & Buff. Something that was new to me -- it helps if you let it sit for about 30 minutes before buffing, then set it in the oven (at clay-baking temps). I'd always thought varnish was a requirement with Rub & Buff, but it'll stay on without varnish if you follow those steps. Nice to know -- & thanks to Jane for the fun lesson! Now I just need to figure out what photo to put in here!
