Regarding the new Scouts uniform, this is a correction to the parents introduction letter.
Only if you are purchasing a new Scout uniform then you must purchase the Scouts SHIRT as that is the required uniform.
This applies to only to youth that will be purchasing a new Scout uniform. Those that already have a tan shirt, sash, or activity t-shirt from last year can continue to wear that to meetings and camps.
For regular meeting nights it is the new green Scout SHIRT that is required. The new green activity shirt is only for outings and camps and is optional.
Before it was reported that either the shirt OR the t-shirt were acceptable for regular meetings. That is incorrect.
Only if you are purchasing a new Scout uniform then you must purchase the Scouts Shirt, cost is $26.99. The t-shirt is optional (extra).
It is strongly recommended that you try on the shirt for sizing at the Scout Shop as the sizes fit differently than expected. Most people have found that in general you have to order one size larger.
All Scouts will continue to wear the 1st Glen Cairn necker.
The Scout tan pants are part of the uniform, but I would say is optional at this time until group committee has decided on that issue.
Group will supply the youth with the appropriate woggle.
New Scouts that have not been invested into the Troop section yet can continue to were their necker and Cubs woggle.
Investiture should occur some time in late October.
