This fun sterling silver & vermeil necklace combines a lotus flower charm, an Om pendant and a Namaste charm. All three designs have a unique meaning. *** OM *** The Om (or Aum) sign is the main symbol of Hinduism, it signifies God, Creation, & the One-ness of all creation. The three portions of AUM relate to the states of waking, dream and deep sleep. The three letters also indicates three planes of existence, heaven, earth and netherworld. Aum is said to be the essence of the Vedas, it is the sound of the Sun and the sound of Light. *** LOTUS *** Buddhists liken the unfolding of the lotus petals to the unfolding of the divine within the human self. The closed bloom represents the heart with its infinite potential for enlightenment; the open blossom represents the enlightened self. In Buddhism the lotus blossom represents a heart opening. The lotus flower blooms on the surface of water, with its roots deep below in mud - making it a symbol of light and beauty emerging from darkness. *** NAMASTE ***" We are all one when we live from the heart." The gesture Namaste represents the belief that there is a Divine spark within each of us that is located in the heart chakra, and acknowledges the soul in one by the soul in another. To perform Namaste, place the hands together at the heart charka, close the eyes, and bow the head. Yoga teachers initiate Namaste as a symbol of gratitude and respect toward their students, and in return invites the student to connect with their lineage. The sterling silver Om pendant measures 5/8" wide x 5/8" long (1" long including the bale) and is stamped .925. The lotus charm is just over 1/4" wide and stamped .925. The vermeil namaste charm is 9/16" x 1/4" and finished on both sides. The pendants are suspended from a 20" sterling silver snake chain. This pendant has a white circle base, with a smaller green and yellow dot attached. I've smoothed the back with my grinder, and then attached a sterling silver plated bail. This pendant will fit on any standard snake chain. The pendant measures 1 in (24 mm) in diameter or 1 1/4 in (31 mm) tall with the bail. It's 1/8 in (5 mm) deep. This will ship in a cardboard jewelry box, and can be gift wrapped upon request. These circles are a brand new line. This is one version that's available, there's another version as well (more pictures to come). The base comes in white or black, and the two smaller circles can be green, orange, yellow, purple, blue, white, black, or red.

I am just in love with this color glass...I have done 2 projects with it and am just smitten. Created on a beautiful seafoam green glass, this pendant has been kiln fired and annealed. I used several layers of dichroic glass with a clear glass overlay only in the middle of the pendant to add depth to this pendant. The glass measures 2 inches x 1 1/4 inches.
