Coffee Pot, Adelaide
The entrance to the Coffee Pot, just off Rundle Mall. The Coffee Pot was a small nook which catered towards homeless smokers. They would have liked to have had paying customers but the kids drove them away. It was my social nexus until it closed NYE 2001. I remember, among other things, spending NYE 2000 curled up on a sofa listening to Ben Folds Five _The Autobiography of Reinhold Messner_ while crowds seethed outside. It used to be owned by a man named Peter who I'm told died of a heart attack in 2003, two years after it closed. We're all very sad that it closed.
