From a full size suitcase to a briefcase. Son also packs really light. Mike from California, US, reports the largest luggage reduction so far. He went, for business travel, in two steps. "Second reduction: I packed lighter clothes this time and didn't bring the windbreaker. It's hot in DC this time of year. I also didn't bring my notebook computer, but just brought the iPad. So, same dimensions, but the pack weighs 5.5 pounds (2.5 kg) now! Moreover, without the notebook computer and its case, that's the only piece of luggage I have."
I asked: Inspired by my reports? Absolutely!
Further: "I also showed my ten year old son how to pack for a weeks trip to his grandparents house. He has five sets of clothes, plus his nintendo and blanket, toothbrush, toothpaste, and comb, weighing in at three pounds!" Lauren, California, US, wrote that "about half of the ideas [presented] were new to me" and that "maybe a quarter of the new ideas" probably will be useful for her. Her top pics: the lock/cable, sandpaper, deodorant. | "I found it very inspiring and life-changing, wrote Oscar from Shandong province, China. "Life-changing" I had to ask in what way. I find it life-changing because it changes the rest of my life. It changes eg. the way I think, the way i shop, the way I carry... And it make me realize how stupid I was. For example, before reading your reports, I wore underpants all the time simply because everyone else is wearing it even though it made me sweaty and discomfort. I had never thought why I had to wore it. Now I don't need to lug around 2 or 3 pairs of underpants when traveling. And don't need to spend money anymore for those expensive travel underpants. And I'm very conscious of weight now. eg. I cut the tags from clothes. Cut the useless margin from pages I carry. I was fascinated by you approach. Markus, Germany. Exellent value. Really impressed with the content and ideas within. Just a query on you nano case (I'm starting to pack mine now!)..... Anyhow, so really appreciate the work and thought that went into your publication. Many thanks, Eliz - North Australia, Torres Straights. | Very satisfied-Thank you! I foresee changing the order of some things I place on my person & in my bag, particularly with the razor artist in mind. Laurie - Bay Area, United States. Thanks for the reports which I find very interesting. I’m delighted to have had your reports which will give me much food for thought. Gerry, England. They are good stuffs! Really opened my eyes. I'm very satisfied with them. You've given more than I expected. I BOUGHT IT FOR A BACK PACK TRAVEL THIS TIME. NEXT ALL IN A VEST. Lau, Singapore. Many thanks for attaching your excellent reports. As yet I've not read them in detail, but I've glanced over them and my first impression is "this is more than I expected", so thank you! Very good value - photographs of your kit are excellent.
