Myrtle's Hand

This photo was taken last Christmas Eve at my church, the East Brady United Methodist Church. It is the hand of my neighbor and friend, Myrtle. We light candles Christmas Eve....turn the lights off in the church and we all sing Silent Night. It is so nice to hear it sung ever so softly with no music. Myrtle probably did not even know I took her photo. She is one of the smartest ladies I have ever met. She had a career as a school teacher and decided she wanted to help people so went back to school and became a registered nurse....all later in life. She is a very special lady to me. When my Mother moved to East Brady in 1998, Myrtle befriended my Mother. She would come down to my brother's house ( about 10 giant steps ) from her house and she and my Mother would sit out on my brother's back deck. Myrtle was Mom's friend. When I see Myrtle....I still think of Mom. I think my brother John and my sisters think the same. Myrtle was also very good to my children when they were very little. She was never blessed with any children..but when mine were so small, she sent them the most simple, yet meaningful gifts. I think that was the good woman of faith and the teacher in her....teaching them sometimes the best things come in the form of caring.

My Hand-Moleskine 8x5 1/4 Journal

Here is my hand Tangled in my Moleskine 8x5 1/4 Journal. I decided to post it without the text as Marvin is writing it and it is too personal .The pink in this is not showing as it does not pop like it dies in hand. I used the Gelly Roll Stardust for the pink. Micron gor the tangles. Accented my wedding ring with gol mettalic Gelly Roll.I added my childrens names in the heart with the bird in the nest,
