The goal of 1DevDay is to unite the Metro Detroit Software Development community for one day of knowledge sharing, learning and exploration. This event is a grassroots undertaking to bring an affordable, accessible, tech conference to the Metro Detroit area. On Saturday October 23rd, 2010 software developers and architects, IT Professionals and technologists from across the Metro Detroit area will gather to meet, learn, teach and share knowledge at 1DevDay. Proceeds from this event will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association.

To accommodate the number of attendees and sessions, Microsoft is donating space at their offices in Southfield. We have reserved four large conference rooms for sessions and two large rooms for mingling and open spaces. All of this on their 19th floor.

This conference is targeted at and attended by software developers and architects. It is very much a grassroots undertaking. The ticket price is kept as affordable as possible, so developers at all levels can attend. The event is held on a Saturday, so developers do not have to burn vacation time to attend.
