I created this artwork based on a wedding invitation the customer showed me. It was a cool, layered cutout paper affair, designed by the groom. It was tricky to turn a full-color, textured image with lots of shadows into a striking black and white image, but I'm really happy with this. It was really tough to photograph because of the date on the back.

Built using glass blocks from Lowe's stuck together with clear silicone. Dioder LED strips from Ikea are inserted into the seams.
