Happy St. Paddy's Day! I am lucky enough to be Irish 365 days a year but I sure do enjoy the company today! I actually thought about this picture when I was in California. I didn't know they had Guinness in a bottle with the floater that keeps the keg taste. I knew about the cans though. I was at the Olive Garden and ordered a Guinness and it came in this cool bottle. I thought, I should take this back to my hotel and take a picture. I was so stuffed on food that i forgot to take the bottle with me. :( When I got home I was telling someone about the bottles and they told me I was crazy and we had them too. I used today as an excuse to buy a 6 pack and take my shot! I got the glass last year at Kelsey's. They were giving away one free if you ordered Guinness on St Paddy's Day (like you'd drink anything else!). I started my love with Guinness 16 years ago. I worked at Red Lobster and was just 15 years old. Everyone would go next door to an Irish Pub after work and if you had your RL uniform on you were considered legal drinking age. I was at the bar for my first time and nervous as heck. I just ordered what the guy beside me ordered. I took my first sip of this dark thick foamed "drink" and thought I would hurl!! Of course I felt like I had to pretend like I knew what I was doing and that I liked it, stupid teenage pride kicking in. Well when it came time to order a second round I couldn't order something else, they may think I didn't like the Guinness! The second was pretty decent. By the time I had my 4th I was hooked! Loved it ever since. I swear, in heaven Guinness flows like water from every tap! May good luck be your friend in whatever you do and may trouble be always a stranger to you. Happy St. Patrick's Day my friends! Oh! Best part of this shot, cleaning up!! I had to re-do it because I didn't notice the camera was on Large JPG. I ended up drinking 3 bottles. I love photography! Day 250/365 - Even though the BBQ was over, there was still some darn fine beer left! We decided to cover up the keg, still cooled down with ice, so it wouldn't get warm quite so fast in the middle of the day. I thought the Mickey Mouse kids towel was a perfect fit!
