| Boy Scouting was founded on several principles, including Duty to God, Duty to Country, Duty to Others and self. Our troop firmly believes in the principles of scouting as put forth in the Scout Oath and the Scout Law. The Scout Oath is “On my honor, I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country, to obey the Scout Law, to help other people at all times and to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.” The 12 points of the Scout Law are: “A scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent.”
The adult leadership strives to follow these principles through word and action. Scouts are expected to learn these principles and apply them in their lives. We do not tolerate harassment or disrespect of scouts or leaders. We also firmly believe that parental involvement with the Scout is vital to his success. Few, if any, Scouts will excel without the “push” provided by their parents.
