Silver brazing the mudring pieces
Here is the setup that was used to silver solder three of the mudring (foundation ring) pieces to the outer shell. The fourth piece is soldered to the backhead. The pieces are held in place for soldering with small 1-72 bronze flathead screws that have rings of silver solder on them.

Once you have your tape in place and well burnished you're ready for the REAL fun! Here you'll get to "paint with metal"! There are lots of kinds of solder, but I prefer a silver solder... have fun experimenting!
