trying to 'test' a laptop. hd crapped (bad sectors), batt is dead, kb is shot, lcd flickers... so i had some fun, to turn it in a crude media device. found a smaller hd, usb/ps2 wireless kb/mouse (on usb), wifi usb adapter, and rigged up a fan controller w/ pot for noise/speed control for cooling (also taking power from the usb hub)... oh yeah, and it don't want to switch to external tv out on boot (probably due to win98 and drivers), so i did a quick 'sendkeys' procedure in vb, that runs on startup, that switches to tv output in display manager.
