Wind up musical toys. Bunny toys. Wind Up Musical Toys
Old, Older, Oldest More of my collection of toys. The oldest in this case though is the trunk they are sitting against. It belonged to my Grandma. She graduated High School in 1914 and traveled to Oregon to be with the rest of her family. We presume that is when she got this trunk. The pink and white bear is one of the first stuff bears I got. He was musical and has a small eyelet in the back where the key went to wind him up. It doesn't work anymore. I called him Sad Sack. The doll - Tiny Thumbelina - came a few years later. She has a knob that you wound up and she moved her head in a small circle. My Buddy doll belonged to my son and it's even 25 years old or so. My how time flys. PS - I really do have cabin fever! Los Angeles Santas
At a photography workshop at a hotel on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles, one of the photographer participants posed in his tropical Santa costume with his wind-up, saxophone-playing friend. This guy wasn't part of the scheduled program, he was just a photographer himself, but he was nice enough to bring his costume (the beard, mustache and red cheeks are real!) and his musical Santa toy to pose for us. © Patricia Marroquin All Rights Reserved.
